LEAD PASTOR - Pastor Bob joined the Harrowsmith ministry staff as senior pastor on January 22, 2018. He had been leading in our congregation for some time already, and before that was the senior pastor at Yarker Free Methodist, before planting a new church ministry at Butternut Creek Church, in Kingston. He and his wife Candy have five grown children, and a number of lovely grandchildren.

YOUTH DIRECTOR - Erin and her husband Aaron have 4 amazing children and have been a part of Harrowsmith Free Methodist Church for about 4 years. They have been involved with the youth for most of my time here and love being the Youth Director for both Junior and Senior youth!
Each night at youth we usually start with a cafe time where we enjoy light refreshments and catching up with one another. We then take advantage of the great gym that HFMC has and participate in a sport or other physical activity. In nicer weather we love to head outdoors for games like Capture the Flag or play baseball in our ball diamond!
I believe it is important to spend time in song and worship so we start off our lesson time by singing a few songs. Lessons are taught to encourage youth get to know God better and to encourage them in their faith to step out boldly for Christ.
Junior youth is mostly the same but since it's on Wednesday nights we get to enjoy a full dinner at 6pm with OASIS.

Maureen Adams
COMMISSIONED LAY-PASTORS - Ed and Maureen’s life journeys began far apart (his Ontario, hers Egypt) but, thank God, He brought their paths into convergence when they were
married in 1977 and the journey together began. Both Ed and Maureen were blessed to be raised in loving homes where a legacy of faithful, Christian service was lived out before them. They have endeavoured to build on that legacy throughout the years.
Shortly after purchasing a 100 acre farm south of Sydenham in 1981 they joined the HFMC and it has been their home church ever since. They have felt loved, supported, cared for and blessed by their “family” and delight in being part of the Body at HFMC.
After (untold) years of study and required coursework, Ed and Maureen were credentialed as Commissioned Ministers with the Free Methodist Church in Canada in 2011 and appointed to serve at HFMC. They have had opportunity to serve in many capacities over 36 years including (currently) the Missions Team (Maureen as director of the Community Assistance Program, Ed as secretary), Congregational Care (Maureen), OASIS (both) and the Official Board (Ed). Under the direction of the pastor, Ed and Maureen assist at various times with Sunday morning worship services.
Ed and Maureen share a passion to see HFMC helping to grow God’s Kingdom both in their local community and in the wider world around them. They want to help fulfill the Great Commission recognizing that is mostly accomplished one soul at a time.
Outside of their involvement in the life of HFMC, Ed and Maureen spend quality time with their 3 children and spouses, 5 delightful and precocious
grandchildren and Ed’s 96 year old father.
